North of 49 Pillar of the Community Canada 617 Posts	Posted 01/11/2018 3:47 pm My wife gave me some coins as a gift last year. She asked the clerk for the some dates that she knew I was looking for. I'm embarrassed to say that once I received them I just gave them a casual glance and then put them away and forgot all about them. I came across them the other day and was disappointed to see that one coin, a 1921 penny, the kings face was quite damaged and another , a 1924 penny, someone had carved their name over the kings face. Both coins were graded as F and not very expensive, but still. .... anyway just wanted to let off a little steam... Report this Post to the Staff

moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 01/11/2018 5:11 pm Taking possession of any collectible or coin, with the possible exception of unopened mint and proof sets, where grade is of utmost importance is always the buyers responsibility. Almost all legitimate sellers extend a return privilege. Not checking the coins before the expiration of that privilege is also the responsibility of the buyer. Sorry you got bad coins.
