I ordered 2 of these coins and they arrived sealed in plastic squares. I have air-tite holders too but I'm not sure what to do now. I want protect these coins. Should I leave them in the plastic strip and use 2x2 flips for protection?

For the best protection I keep the few
gold coins I have in air tites.
Gold is the softest of the alloys used
for coins and can be easily marked in
a 2x2 if something were to hit it.

and yes, I do not own many gold coins but the few I do own are all in air-tites.

I stopped by the coin store today and I came up with this arrangement. You can see the plastic square inside the holder. The plastic square was preventing me from using the round air-tite holders I got previously.
I like it for now and it's my 50th post so I'm posting some gold to celebrate.

If you want a direct fit holder at some point, you'll find that there is no Air-tite that fits just right. Lighthouse/Leuchtturm makes a direct fit 25mm capsule that would be perfect for the 25mm 1/2oz Maple once you've cut the packaging away. They also make an unusual 32.5mm which is the only capsule I've found that will properly fit a 32.69mm Queen's Beast 1 oz (33mm allows the coin to move around too much, 32mm is too small).
