I like the old qtrs but didn't want culls. I'll know soon enough as I bought a roll. That was just a few days ago and the price is up $3 (as spot went up). Also, Apmex- one of our forum's sponsors- seems to match this dealer's prices but doesn't guarantee legible dates. Anybody order any of these rolls, qtrs or dimes, that can give a review? I'd like to be able to say some good things about dealers, sometimes, as we (myself inc) always seem to be bashing them. Ronald

IMO 90% of Washington quarters have a full date. It is not at all a selling point to have full dates. Additionally- since there are no real key dates in the series- the date hardly matters like it does on other series'. That being said- the price is decent for the silver.... |

Kind of the same deal, but a bit cheaper if people were interested. I got an email about it earlier today. But like mentioned, I don't think full dates matter much when it comes to Roosevelt's or Washington's. Thanks for the link, Mister Kairu, I'll check it out. IDK, I think full dates are real important, maybe not for keys, as this is just bullion, but for filling albums and for just having more 30s and 40s. But, yes, the date is not the first to go on a worn qtr like it would be on a Mercury or Buffalo, it's true.

Hi, again. I checked the link, MK. Yes, the prices at SD Bullion are amazing- only, I'm afraid I'd get ugly culls because no mention is made of the condition of the silver coins. Also, no mention of free shipping. Have you ordered from them before, Mister Kairu? |

SD Bullion does not have free shipping. They charge $7.77 flat rate. IMHO you're correct to be a bit leary of this deal. The 25c over spot is for a mixed $10 FV bag, so you don't know what you're exactly getting. As you probably know, it takes 247.1 grams of 90% Ag to equal the 7.15 ozt Ag that SD Bullion (or any other dealer for that matter) is charging you for in $10 FV. If a good portion of the coins in that $10 FV aren't XF or better, then you may not get the full 7.15 ozt Ag.

On the roll I ordered, I figured it cost me only about 16 cents over spot per coin. The dealer paid the rest- shipping, CC fees, and listing fees! Good point, it's important to not get coins worn too thin. It would add up.

you can get better deal than that. Like another member said, most Washington quarters have full dates. If you look closely you can get 90% for about 115 |

When I first started collecting I bought an average circulated roll of Barber quarters from APMEX. I had no idea what average circulated was referring to, but didn't look like picture posted. They took them back with no questions asked and free shipping on return as well. Very good customer service experience. I've bougjt from them a few times since and been always satisfied, no other return experiences |

My local silver dealer is not likely (read, definitely not going) to sell under spot. What prices would you guys be selling the coins back to dealers at, per face $1, assuming a $17 spot? |

Got my qtr roll in the mail. It came in a sturdy plastic tube. Here's a shot of the goods:  And, then a close up of a few:  I'm real happy with the condition and the date mix. Only thing, I'm not entirely sure I want to sell them as melt, now. Nor, am I sure it's the best way to invest in silver- i.e., when it comes time to sell them back. Ronald |

Nice ones!, But Ron, why would you want to sell them back? Plan on holding them for the long haul! There's no money to be made here, or in the near future, as prices stagnate full speed ahead ~
