Better pix would help. Not sure if just attrition or possible die gouges caused by ejectors/feeder finger die damage.

Die breaks along the rim should be as high as the rim. I have a coin similar to yours with these lines above the T in TRUST, these are die gouges. I have another coin that has a blob of metal along the rim above the ST, this is a die break (in this case, a Cud). Here are the pics:
