1978 Dime - Missing Clading But For The Highest Points And Rim

Recently found in "the jar" and must have missed it. I have never seen
one and would like to find out more about it.
It shows all copper color except for the high points on lettering, rim and bust. Rear of coin looks the same.
Thanks for any info...

Looks like the dime was painted/stained/colored in some fashion, and that coating was worn away from the high spots through circulation.

More likely stained, environmental damages that further circulation polished the higher surfaces.
