Where are your prized pieces?

Do you have them insured and if so, with who?

I am just about out of room here at my place to "store" my pieces away. It's gotten to the point that I worry about my collection when I am away from home. I have thought about a big safety deposit box, but then I won't be able to browse through my collection when I want.

Used to insure my collection but found spiralling yearly premiums a bit too much to handle. I invested in the purchase of two Chubb Fire Proof safes 4 years ago and in time, the savings I make from insurance premiums will more than pay for the purchase of the safes.

Should have seen the installation of the safes, nearly gave 6 of us a hernia even with assistance with heavy mining mobile plant that I can access.

For additional security, buglar alarms are installed.Maybe a bit over the top, but I have peace of mind that my collection is not going to be easily removed.

I have & use a heavy duty gun safe. Also have an intruder alarm system connected to local police.
