Hello,

The following coins entered my collection. Unfortunately I don't collect ancient coins and have no idea what they are and if they are worth anything. Trying to understand if there is anything of interest of if I should donate them.
Thanks!

It's best if you only post one or two coins at a time by using our upload image feature.

From what I can see the are all Late Roman Bronze (LRB) in good condition worth a few dollars each.

I flipped through these. They appear to be late imperial bronzes. I don't collect these myself so I'll leave it to the specialists of that era.
Overall I'd say don't get your hopes up. They appear genuine 1,700 year old coins, but just because they're old doesn't make them valuable.
Rest in Peace

All are indeed Roman Imperials, about half are in OK shape, not so with the others. Nothing seems as rare, all quite common and found in better grades even. Quite the hoard tho, be fun to identify.

You can find all of your types on this very handy and user-friendly site:

http://www.tesorillo.com/aes/_rev/index1i.htm

Value will be very low; if you sold all of them together on ebay as a lot, you would average $0.80-$1.50 per coin. Several appear to have active bronze disease (discolored powdery buildup), which is possible but not easy to treat.

23 I believe is Helena, the mother of Constantine. She is more desirable, but not worth much in that condition. Several of the Constantine posthumous issues (draped head) are also nicer.

Many thanks all for the reply.
Indeed I was expecting them to be round the 1$ mark. Was just curios if anything was more interesting in there.
I will put them on ebay as a lot and see what happens.
Many thanks again! Much appreciated!
All the best,
Paul.
