Here's a 1943 D for you to grade. These pics were taken hand held, full auto. Darn camera is WAY smartern me!

That's a very tough one to grade from the small pics. It looks like the reverse might have some very slight wear (again, need bigger pics) and I can't tell if there is any luster.
I would hazard a guess of au-55, but would not be surprised to hear she is ms.
Any chance of bigger pics? Is there luster, or does the coin look flat in hand as well (which could also be the result of overdipping)?
More questions than answers, I'm afraid.

most definitely luster, just trying to keep the pics under the 100 k limit. Hopefuly these will be better individualy.

Thanks for the better pics, John. From the new pics and knowing there is plenty of luster I'll go ms64 or 65. What a difference a picture makes!
Looking forward to hearing what the merc dime experts have to say as this is a series I am very new to!
