Hi all, I just got an interesting book on the paper money of New Jersey. Anyone familiar with this? I have not looked into it yet, but it seems like an interesting subject.

Thanks Tony

Merry Christmas, Tony. Sad as it is, since I live in New Jersey, I haven't really looked into the monetary history of this state. I'd be interested in hearing what you find out from your new book.

Hi Susan, Merry Christmas to you guys too... yeah apparently many cities and towns issued notes. I have a feeling this stuff is expensive?

Thanks Tony

I did a quick ebay search of completed auctions and here's what I found. It actually looks like some of the notes can be had for pretty reasonable money. The search is sorted by highest to lowest price.

Some of the smaller banks of NJ are quite scarce, and others are considered common.
Collecting obsolete, broken, or national notes can be quite satisfying. I will have plenty of DE currency on hand for the new store.
