1963-P LMC Noticed Something In Epu

This may be of no consequence and I am not really concerned about the value of a find (unless it will pay my house off and I am not holding my breath).
The find, especially a new one is why I do this...
I wanted to point out something I see consistently in these 15 rolls of UNC 1963-P; the "R" & "I" in EPU are connected. Has anyone else noticed this?
The coins are from OBW's that have the paper plug...

I pulled my rolls of 1963P's out, here's what I have. I don't have them solidly connected but notice a slight crack like connection. Now, that said, what is your coins die state? VLDS perhaps, how close are details to rim, are the details wider in appearance than normal? The die flow will cause letters to widen, polishings can affect this. Or it just could be a design anomaly on a set of working hub dies that made the series of coin you have as compared to mine.

Now, take a look at the top of the outer letters, like this maybe? Note the connected R...you may have found a marker.
