I hope I have posted in the correct forum. I have mostly Kennedy's half dollars, some 40% silver and other not silver at all. I have compared coins on ebay, not much money there due to fees. I took a bunch of Kennedy's bicentennial to redeem at the bank. I didnt know what else to do with them.I dont know what the bank did with them but they are G-O-N-E. I dont know what to do with my remaining Kennedys. I have pure silver junk coins...as I said selling them on ebay is ridiculous due to fees...what's the best to do? any suggestions would be helpful. I have given up going through pennies rolls...not a premium there. I think most of the rare ones are accounted for...

You should stick around to get enough posts, then you can sell here. I hear that theres fewer fees here than on the bay.

It can be hard to let the collection go. As far as silver is concerned, you would be better selling it on ebay if you have more than an ounce or two (yes, even the 40% kennedies). If you have less, a local dealer or even pawn shop will probably buy them from you... certainly at more than face value!

You will find very few lotto coins in the circulated disasters of today, yea picked over very well. People may luck upon some collection dumped for cash in coinstar but that is as rare as a unicorn. Big money DDO / DDRs aren't there anymore and the minor ones will not make any one rich, unless you have the funds to look through mega sourced coins, I sure don't. I look for errors, mostly for my own benefit. Any monies I make is from resale of coin items generally won at auctions and flip for a few bucks. Sure ain't getting rich,, but does put some money towards more purchases.

What kind of condition are these coins in?
Hopefully you didn't cash in any silver bicentennial Kennedys at the bank.

Just keep them, there's no emergency, and they don't take up much space. You'll know what to do with them when the time is right.

Quote: I hear that theres fewer fees here than on the bay. Roy , CCF has NO fees for selling or trading coins . @ coinchatter , keep any silver coins that you have whether junk or not . If you think you would like to start a coin collection ,go get ''The Red Book '' of U.S. coins . I agree coin roll hunting is getting too tuff to persue unless you know what to look for .
