...the amount of detail in the indent wouldn't be as it is, it wouldn't have had enough material to work into the die.
As I see it,that is exactly what it turns this matter so interesting. I can tell really, really positive, rest of the coin do not show any deformed metal. Just the usual coin contact on feather tip and those on field and devices.
