Looked like a die gouge caused by a feeder finger at first, but that is into the incuse device, must be a crack since it isn't a clad coin. Not sure, its late.

Looks like you got it to me they both start in the same spot and end in the same spot nice find. Here is PCGS picture of the speared bison

Yep, it's a "Speared Bison". Nice find! This varietie is cause by a long Die Gouge. Welcome to CCF!

I found one of these 2005 D Speared Bison Nickels. Are they worth anything?
