Hi members,

I have a 1999s penny with Wide AM. I like some information about this penny and will like to know the value.
I appreciate your input on this 1999s penny. Thank you.

Mara

to the forum!

The Wide AM is the normal reverse for 1999-S Proof cents.

EDIT: Value might be around $1.00 if it isn't impaired. Is it still in the original holder?

Thank you members for your responds. Yes the penny is still in the original holder. Is this the penny that is valuable? I will appreciate your input. Also on the 1956 penny is there any value?. Thank you.

Welcome to CCF! You got it mixed up a little bit there. For the proof coins for 1998, 1999, 2000 San Francisco Proof coins, the Wide AM reverse's is normal and what you want to look for is the Close AM's (Business Strike reverse's) on the proofs which yours is normal. On the business strike reverse's (coins meant for circulation), you want to look for the Wide AM's (Proof Strike reverses) for 1998, 1999, and 2000 Philadelphia.
