I was surprised to find and be able to purchase this 1919-S Buffalo nickel for $2 including shipping. Not sure why the color looks so different on each side, but looking at the 2x2 it was pictured in, it looks like two sides of the same coin. Thoughts on grade and problems appreciated. Thanks! NS - you've shown us some great purchases, but I wouldn't mess with this myself, even for a buck.
I'm not sure why you would want this.

I wouldn't bother sending it back if it only cost you $2. Not sure the grade matters much for a near dateless Buffalo.

wow... the obverse is unreadable - to me... it looks like ith might have been acid restored, based on the color...
ir that reverse is of the same coin - I am surprised at the difference in the grade - obverse/reverse.
i have personally have had some fun - acid restoring the dates on otherwise dateless buffalo's.
i suppose it depends on what you are trying to achieve for your collection.
if your ok with the price, and the coin - you did good...

I think it's a good deal for 2.00. I bet the date will be a bit more clearer when you get it. I hope :)
