Hello everyone, I am interested in paper money with solid serial numbers and low serial numbers. Example like the one I have posted. I find it hard to find pricing on such items, I'm sure because they are rare and hard to find for sale. Does anyone know of a catalog or website that specializes in these items. Thanks in advance,

For Canadian currency I don't know. For US currency the only reference I've seen is "Collector's Guide to Modern Federal Reserve Notes/Series 1963-2009" by Robert Azpiazu. Your best bet is to see if you can find auction results.
P.S. A US FRN with that serial number is valued at $4000 in Azpiazu book.

If this is your note congrats,. Any solid radar is going to demand a large premium this note with solid eight's will carry an even larger premium. The Chinese have long considered the numeral eight to be associated with wealth and prosperity. Just look at the 2008 Beijing Olympics they arranged the start to be at the 8th minute of the 8th hour on the 8th day of the 8th month in 2008. Charlton does have a section in the back that shows the premium one would expect for solid radars, apart from that I know of no other source.
Cheers, Bill

Its in a auction, which I am sure it will bring many bids. The starting bid is $300, estimate is $1500-$2000. I think it might bring more being 8's. Only thing going for me is that there so many other interesting notes available for bids. Like theses:

I'm curious to know why people post here if they don't know ? Kanga, why post about Canadian money with a response about US money that has nothing to do with the original question ? It makes no sense !! TheBurnz, buy a Charlton paper money catalogue, available on ebay or any Canadian coin store/dealer. There is a section in the back about errors and varieties.

According to Charlton Catalogue, solid notes with a serial no.8 command a 25% premium if you want to take that into consideration.
PS The Catalogue value for that note is $720.00 plus 25%= $900.00. Depends on what percentage of Catalogue value you want to pay.

Very nice notes. I would try Canadian Paper Money Forum. Ask the experts. They won't steer you wrong. Just go to What's it worth section.

Recent sales of special unc special numbers seems to prove that Charlton's prices are low.
