Plated denarius in the name of Caesar
Obv: Diademed head of Venus right
Rev: CAESAR, Aeneas walking left, carrying Anchises and the Palladium.
Mass:3,18 gram
Diameter: 17,5mm
Mint: in Africa.

The plating gives a unique effect....amazing coin!

The plating is silver over bronze and means the coin is a fouree, an ancient counterfeit. That wasn't being said but is worth noting.

Beautiful coin. Most of the Julius Caesar coins in run into are the ones with the elephant in the front. Real keeper.
