This is Augustus-commemorative coin struck under Tiberius after he died in 14AD. Weighs about 10grams.

Thanks jskirwin, I know that there are millions out there( since the Roman empire/republic was around for over a millennium-(not even talking about the Byzantine empire-) still ,Its nice to own these coins

Owning Roman coins always reminds me of a quote from Raiders of the Lost Ark:

"Look at this [silver pocket watch] it's worthless. Ten dollars from a vendor in the street. But I take it,and I bury it in the sand for a thousand years, it becomes priceless!"

Thats kind of how I feel about coin collecting
I love history and despite so many of them out there I cant help but get a kick out of owning something that was made 2000 years ago give or take a century. I am sure others feel the same and others have other reasons for them( making money for one)
