Hi all, Been a while since I was last here, however Silver looks to be getting ready to break out to the upside. Play it the way you choose either by ETF's, Miners, options etc.
Peace

I wouldn't phrase it as a "break-out" but $20+ silver in 2018 would come as no surprise. Then again if the equity market bull run continues through 2018, silver might stay in the teens.
I believe we're a ways off from a true break-out to $25+ but do expect to see much higher silver prices in the mid-range future of 2 to 4 years out.
Bottom line is there's enormous amounts of money tied up in stocks and when the sentiment goes negative some of that money flows into other asset classes and PMs are a likely beneficiary as a "safe-haven", for a time anyway.

Cmon Mox, them guys on TV say silver is going up to $200 an ounce this year (same thing they said about last year) -- you don't believe them this time?

"Silver about to break out?" Sounds like a headline from 5 years ago. Or 3 years ago. Or...

I usually go opposite the experts.
That way, I have little better than 50% chance.

I doubt you'll see silver above 18.00 in the next two weeks.

Quote: Who thinks Silver will ever go up to it's all time high of $50 an once within the next 5-6 years ? Not likely in 5-6 years. $30 in that timeframe is realistic though.

$20 in 5-6 years not likely. Quote: Who thinks Silver will ever go up to it's all time high of $50 an once within the next 5-6 years ? We've never had $50 silver, but close. The first time, the metal's rise in price was not driven by honest means, but by two wealthy traders trying to corner the market. 30-some years later, another rise close to $50, (an all-time average high of $35 in 2011) supposedly driven by investor demand. Today, the investment demand in silver seems long gone, hopefully industrial demand will pick up in the near future.

Unless the stock market tanks, Gold/Silver will hold steady. When the stock market is unsteady, that's when demand for metals raise.

Well, the stock market took a big shot on Friday and PMs went down with it. We're down to the mid-$16s on Silver... and I took the opportunity to buy my Jan and Feb quota.
