I love how Tasmania looks like molasses trying to drip off a dish.

The oddest shaped coin I have is a coin that wasn't really supposed to be an odd shape: It's from the Coriosolites, a Celtic tribe that lived in far northwestern Gaul (France) and on the Channel Islands, just prior to the Roman invasion in 58 BC. In that sense, it probably qualifies as "refugee coinage". It doesn't appear to have corroded into that shape, the planchet was simply not round. The moneyer was obviously more concerned with churning 'em out than making sure they looked pretty.

"Tempora Mutantur" is the Latinized version of Bob Dylan's The Times They Are A-Changin' ;) That jigsaw puzzle coin is from a series jointly issued by (well, in the name of) Samoa and Kiribati. Here is a picture (not mine) of an "odd" coin that I have - the Ultime Franc (last franc) designed by Philippe Starck. Got the silver 1F piece. Those were issued as NCLT of course, but look great in my opinion ... Christian

I have one of these ultime francs. I keep it in a plastic bag 'cause I don't think you can truly appreciate this coin without feeling it. its very unique.

As it is comemorative coins, not for circulation, they can allow all imaginations
