1882 Large Cent SSN OBV 1

There are so many different varieties in the '82's ... which one are you actually looking for. Is the one you are looking for have an "open" D? Are the O's on both the 2 that are showing have (essentially) open O's? Are you just looking for the one that looks like the micro D?

I have a note on 5 '82 SSN Obv 1's that I have in holders that I (at some time) put a note on that said "50:1". Those 5 are the ones that mimic the '81 micro D's, but it's the D in Canada instead of Dei. Most of the coins that I have pseudo population numbers on were from the old CCRS days.

We arrived at the population ratios by taking mine, Dan's and yours (and a few others) to hopefully have a total that was somewhat meaningful. The ratios that we used to come up with were identical Obv numbers, so the total population examined would have been only from Obv 1's or 1a/1's with single serifs and not strait Obv 1a's (full or single serif) or Obv 2'2.

OK, I have 5 of them but, unfortunately, none are UNC .. but 2 XF's. All of them have the note "50:1" so we all must have tried to see how scarce it was many years ago. I had a hard time searching as very few of these were in album pages. I loaned All of my 76-84 Obv 1 types to someone for a book, so many of the 82's are loose in holders in boxes rather than album pages.
