fine details damaged - large gouge over head. nice except for damage.

An educated guess based off of looking at a buttload of them. Strikethroughs are more prevalent in the seated series.

Regardless of the reason for the depression it makes the coin much less desirable.

Save your money and you can get a VF or EF for the type pretty easily.

Unless you bought this for a small amount over melt, this is a pass coin for most collectors who have been at it for a while. Junk will always be junk.
