All,

I have a lot of my collection in Airtight holders, but want to now start to photograph them using a USB Microscope.

Any suggestions/hints/lessons learned by anyone on the best way to photograph them without taking them out of the Airtight holders?

What is the best way to set-up the USB and the lighting to get good clarity and no reflections.

Thanks.

The best way IS to carefully take them out before photographing them. It only takes a few minutes and the pics will look better and easier to take the pictures.

I agree. Taking them out is the best and easiest way for clear photos.

Ok.. thanks for the advice.
I love the protection of airtights, but getting them open is a pain..
And I have a bunch in a CAPS album, so getting them out of there is also a whole additional step.
Wish I had photographed them all before hand, but live and learn...

Long as the airtights are not too scratched up, you can use my Smile Directors to optimize lighting without glare.
