Hello guys, Long time since I was on here just on vacation at the Philippines, I found this coin at our old family home was wondering if someone can help me or know something about these types of coin. I searched it online and found different kinds once with (APM ) and once with the stamp 31.1 Gram.but this one doesn't have any of that. Is this coin a remake? Not an original ? Here is the coin not sure which is the Observe and the reverse. What usually the value and worth for one of these things. *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

If it is indeed silver, it is nothing more than a commercial silver round bullion piece privately minted and issued. I see no mint name on faces, may be edge letter who produced it. Price of silver is $17.46/oz USD today

For private minting, it is always good to weigh the round. There are bullion counterfeit too.

That is not a coin at all but a privately minted one ounce silver round. It is worth the current spot price of one troy ounce of silver or about $17.40 this morning.

That particular silver round design HAS been counterfeited. Can't say if this one is real or not. First thing to do would be to check the weight.
When you have a silver round, trying to find others to authenticate it can be a hopeless task. There are just too many varieties, and many of them are of very similar designs. Guy I knew back in Louisville collected them by variety back in the late 70's early 80's. He had over 10,000 different varieties. There are over 100 varieties of the "trade unit" die. and at least a couple of dozen of the other die.

Many variations of this exist. I would weigh it and check the "ping" and do an ice test on it. Just to be sure it's .999 silver.

@CoinCents - The ice test is great. Ice truly will melt much faster on silver. I take an old Peace dollar or an old Morgan and put an ice cube on a 1 ounce whatever I want to check and watch how quickly they both melt. So far I haven't bought any fakes but I still keep an eye out.
