I think I'm beyond Coinaholics Anonymous......what's the next step in this addiction disease obsession hobby? P.S. eaglefoot, you MUST bring your girlfriend in.....lest she get jealous of your coinage! But get her a few of her own to start her off, and set clear rules....like look all you want, but DON't touch without scrubbing up, gloving up, and ONLY in the padded room!

She did give me a nearly empty paper folder Lincoln Cent album '09-'73 I think......I could fill that up as best I can and give that back to her...I don't like those cheap paper folders for coins AT ALL !....so I'd have to get her a nice one like mine...... but Man !....It's taking me a lifetime to complete the one I HAVE !.....hmmmmm.....I don't really know what to start her on really.....needs to be something cheaper and easier to complete.......funny thing is....she'd probably complete whatever album I gave faster than "I'm" able to complete my own!...

Hi Chas, Don't worry, you'll find something you like pretty soon. Oh, wait, are we supposed to dissuade people in coinaholics from buying more coins? I prefer the method of slowly stopping acquisition over a 60-90 year period . Don't worry everyone, we'll help each other through this .

inacoffeebuzz..... Quote: Oh, wait, are we supposed to dissuade people in coinaholics from buying more coins? .... ..... Ha......no, I don't look at our "coinaholics meeting place" as a method of dissuading fellow junkies.......it's more like a crack house where all come to get our fix or share our goodies with those who would appreciate them the most !There should be a well established safe and comfortable place for all those who suffer from this disease to come and celebrate the brotherhood of this wondrous sickness. A place where no one will say...."Dude, you spend too much money on coins man." or the typical "But Honey, what about our bills?"....or "What do you mean that room is off limits to me and the kids?"...or "Gee, I wonder why we never get to take a vacation ?" Feel free, Brothers and Sisters to share some more of the naysayers criticisms that you've heard... ....let's hear some!

Just off the top of my head: You spent how much on that? Honestly, sometimes I think you like those dumb old coins better than people ( ) Go to a coin show with you? Sure hon, just let me get a book to read and take an anti-depressant first.

well maybe it was "those stupid coins" or something like that. I was buried in the Krause world coins catalogue and not paying that close of attention.

Hey maybe we should give out success tokens towards recovery, oh wait they will probably be collectible as well, then sent off for grading, then slabbed, then hoarded, vicious cycle...sigh!!

I already have a "success token". It's graded ms70Dcam. And it was for the 1993 Coinaholics Addiction Program Fair here in Shawnee County. Amongst other things, it was for having the most coins in one entire county....most creative coin decorative hat....and guessing how many Morgans were in a jar..... It wasn't/isn't given as "recovery" from anything....the award is given for "acknowledgement & encouragement to continue and increase the endless and limitless and border-less levels of the art of this hobby" !....

OK then how about this; We'll just call it an incentive for now. But if you all are frustrated by the empty hole syndrome this might be the ticket, or holder, or something?

...... ...... For the first few seconds staring at that,.... it was just funny !....but then, the longer I stared at the "empty hole" there...it began to really bother me......in fact it bothered me SO MUCH that I want to insert a coin in there pretty badly... I'm sorry, but until you put a coin into that "empty hole"...I won't be able to look at this any longer !!....
