Hello everyone,
I have posted here before regarding recommendation for a camera, but now I have a more specific question. Are there recommended SLR cameras with a macro lens or macro setting (I hope I'm using the right terms, I'm new to this).
Thanks again!

Welcome to the forum ruvik!

Do you want to shoot only full coin shots, or do you want to shoot higher magnifications for variety/error details?

If you want a DSLR for shooting other things, then you can't go wrong with any of the Nikon or Canon cameras, even back SEVERAL generations, when you couple it with a really good macro lens in about the 100mm range (there is a Tamron at 90mm, Sigma 100mm and both Canon and Nikon have ones also - all from memory, so don't quote me .

But this won't get you to the extreme 5x closeups of the $400 rig.
