1996 P Nickel Die Abrasion?

Because of the amount of scratches I believe this to be die abrasion. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I think die scratches/gouges would be a better description.

Agree with John, though the top one looks like PMD to me.

Thanks Coinfrog, I can see where it might be PMD with the scratches next to that line. But with everything else on the coin I think it's a part of the die.

Looks like die gouges that are older on die, that as the die ages, they started making their own die flow lines. Note in the first image, the first arrow points towards the direction the die flow normally happens. You can also see this die flow on the devices closest to the rims. But on the lower arrow in the first picture, the line is not is a die flow direction. But note in the center where the arrow is, the direction is not starting to form in that direction. Nothing worth a premium, but as a study aid, this helps us see how the dies are affected as they age.
