So I found a man sized ring today. All silver in color. Wedding band style. bright silver, absolutely no tarnish at all...found in the wood chips in a school yard.

There are no markings on the inside, and it makes a high pitch ding when I drop it on a table.

How do you figure out what type of metal a ring is if it is not marked gold?

Is silver, platinum, etc always marked?

Thanks in advance for any answers...

I have been finding rings made out of aluminum lately, I hope yours is something better.
