I'm having quite a bit of trouble capturing quality images with my Galaxy Note 8 cellphone. Primarily, I'm having trouble focussing on the subject (Lincoln Cents).

I've tried different distances between the coin and camera. I've tried zooming in and out. Yet, my images still come out somewhat blurry. Has anyone had success capturing quality images with the Note 8? Can you give me any guidance?

Use less light. Have you tried taking a full coin pic without zooming, and then crop pic to get a close up shot of a certain area? Just thinking, because I do not have that phone.

I will try that.

Yes. I've tried placing the coin very close to the camera lens. I've tried placing the coin further away from the camera lens. I've cleaned the lens with a microfiber cloth. I might have to resign myself to the fact that this phone, while great for capturing pictures of people, is not ideal for coins . . . unless an experienced user can set me straight.

You can always buy one of those clip on magnifiers for your phone. They even have an endoscope you can use with cell phones.
