The coin has 2 flat, raised areas between the columns. Not sure what it is, but an off center overlay could fit. Any ideas?

Looks like a lamination issue. Note that the area appears to be slightly a different color? It flows in a straight line at a 45 degree angle.

Thanks, Coop - not a lamination. Look at the first image of the entire reverse. The nature and morphology shows better there than in close ups.

On the next to last image you can see where it is peeling off the top of the planter. Looks like a lamination or struck through debris to me.

That's a clash in bay 7. Unusual to find one there but it happens. Here is one I found

That's a tough one, but struck through does look feasible.

I have been thinking about this coin. I think what I see is a Reverse which has sustained a rather heavy off center clash. The clash is no longer visible due to extremely heavy abrading which extended beyond Lincoln's Profile. This left heavily abraded areas beneath the chin and at the back of the neck which show as raised areas on the coin.

Any comments or observations about this?
