1947 S Nickel Severe Die Crack?

Need y'alls advice on this one. It appears to be cracked very badly on the obverse, and the crack can even be seen on the reverse. There is no damage, denting, or distortion on the rim. The two faces are still perfectly flat with no bulging in either direction. I seen a similar one of same year and mint with a small crack on obverse, but that is the only one I can find. What do y'all think?

That's called a lamination error, and this is a great example.

I looked that up and sire enough, thats gotta be it. Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping for a more dramatic error, bit I'll gladly take it.

Ahhh, a lamination is a planchet flaw...a honset to goodness legitimate processing error of the mint. A die crack is SOP a very common occurrence in machining with die presses. Just which has more "real" value in the "real" world of coin collecting?
