Very cool find there Jmonsilver. I've searched probably 15 boxes of halves and haven't found a 1970 yet!

Here the full scoop. I picked up 2 boxes of $500 halves and then hit a few small grocery store bank branches. One teller was so nice she slid me a roll and said I think this is what your looking for! So I opened the boxes first, only got 4 silvers total. Then I opened that 1 customer wrappped roll and
It rolled out 6 silvers!! Including that 1970 D

ebay has a MS64 for $28. You'll have more in that coin if you grade it than what it's worth. I've been down that road

Congrats! That's an awesome find... I think this should be moved to the CRH forum... a lot of half dollar searchers post there. Definitely will get a lot of hits on that page.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!
