I found this coin in the collection I just inherited from my dad. Can't find any information online or in the Red Book about this coin. Anyone? Tails side is completely smooth, never struck.

#1 What is the weight of coin? 3.1g +/- .13 is the normal weight

#2 without pix it is impossible to determine anything. In general if the obverse has clear, normal details on it, then this is an altered coin, being ground down and polished. Therefore it is a damaged coin and holds no special values other than sentiment.

It is a field and or sanded reverse. We see lots of these, although I can never figure out why someone would do that.
