1957-D Penny Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Or MD?

I compared this one to another 1957-D penny I have and it looks like the 1 and 9 are slightly larger than usual. I'll leave it to you "experts" though. Report this Post to the Staff

You can see the MD is very extreme, but it ~~never~~ usually doesn't enlarges the devices. It always reduces the normal size of the device 99% of the time. The area affected may think it is, but it is not. Only a doubled die enlarges the devices. let me repeat that: Only a doubled die enlarges the devices. Xonor13 New Member United States 25 Posts	Posted 02/01/2018 7:08 pm I thought Machine Doubling doesn't necessarily make the size of the letters or numbers larger. If I compare this to another coin the numbers look larger than they are supposed to be to me, at least the 1 and 9 do. Report this Post to the Staff
