I have several 2014 shield cent uncirculated fresh out the bank roll. The obverse of the coin has numerous scratches but the scratches seem to be on the planchet and face of abraham but do not appear on the dates or liberty. Could these coins have been made on scratched planchets and later processed into the cent?

The marks are not really scratches. They lines are left when the stock is rolled out. Most of the time the die pressure does away with them. Does it look the same as one the below blank planchet?

I don't save them. There are all kinds of examples out there. You see these same lines show up on areas of a coin that are Struck Through Grease as well and any time the striking pressure is not great enough to obliterate them.
Rest in Peace

Fairly common. Keep searching. We have folks report neat finds here almost every day.
