Could anyone please give me some advice, I have two 1982 pennies both weigh 3.1 grams one has a D and the other does not but from what iv'e read I can see that the one that is 1982 D has smaller print on it,it is definitely a circulated coin not brand new,is it worth anything is my question,both of my parents have recently passed away and found some coins when cleaning out there garage

ct! In 1982 the mint changed the composition of small cents from 95% copper to copper coated zinc.
Since your coin weighs 3.1 grams it is copper and many people collect 1982 and before for the copper content.

There is an extremely rare "small" date copper 1982 D cent. So many save this year hoping to find one of these.
A picture would help us.
