Let's build a complete set of commemoratives starting with 1892 and going up to present day. Rules: 1. We begin in 1892 and advance in alphabetic order as laid out in the Red Book. 2. The coin you post must be yours. 3. We don't need to be too rule-bound. 4. Multiples are okay - feel free to share! 5. Gold commemoratives appear from 1903 to 1926 and the 1915 Panama-Pacific $50 coins are 6-figure items. Some of the others are not inexpensive either. Report this Post to the Staff

However, almost every CSC and CGC collector has their collection with alphabetical priority rather than date priority. True for both 50 or 144 sets and gold. Report this Post to the Staff

Kidding aside, alphabetical might make better sense, but I admit I am just going to be a spectator for most of this. The Red Book goes by year, but also has an alphabetic reference so let's go by that. Here's the issue, though - alphabetical works for classic commemoratives but not modern.
