Quote: It's a Mexican medal commemorating the 13th Livestock Competition held in 1906 in Coyoacan Mexico. Very nice!

It may be a re-use of Adolph A. Weinman's 1907 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Gold Medal reverse design, but I think the eagle looks outstanding on the reverse of the 2018 Proof American Palladium Eagle! I'm glad I took the plunge when it was available from the Mint!

Here's one of my favorite coins released by the Royal Canadian Mint ( RCM) in 2015 - it's a 1/2 oz. 0.999 fine silver coin with selective gold-plating that is referred to as the "Celebrating Canada" coin. It includes a white-tailed deer to the left of the Tower block of Canada's Parliament Building and a generic fish to the right. From the RCM web site sales page for the coin: The coin represents a map-like representation of Canada through the use of symbolism. The maple leaf's outline mimics Canada's geographical shape, stretching out to cover the far reaches of Canada. As though travelling from one coast to another, the Canadian Rocky Mountains and a white-tailed deer in the leaf's left-most point represent the rugged wilderness of the western provinces. Behind the deer, wheat symbolises the grain-growing Canadian prairies. The fishing industry and the Eastern provinces are represented in the right leaf point by a fish, a boat and the famed Peggy's Point Lighthouse. A partial map of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut — home to many of Canada's native peoples — dominates the leaf's middle point, while the Tower of Peace at the base symbolises the government and the tie that binds all Canadians together.

Commems - that Canadian coin is beautiful! I've posted this French 10-euro elsewhere but never before as a coin with an animal (a mouse!) on it!
