Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74621 Posts	Posted 02/11/2018 7:41 pm Heavy Die Deterioration Doubling from the dies being worn out. Back in the 1950's, the Mint would overworked the dies to the point were heavy die wear was present on most coins. So finding a Early Die State coin from 1953 would be very difficult because of how many coins were struck with worn out dies. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff
