Hi First off Thank you to all for sharing your knowledge. I read posts here all the time but have never posted a question so please cut me a little slack if pics do not post quite right
What I have here is a 1971 Lincoln that appears to be a DD but I have been unable to find any references to a listing #. Might this be a new find or does someone know of this coins listing #
Thank you for any help/advice.

This one looks like it might be a striking issue. While the date area is affected on a different die listed by two places.

The other areas would have been normal, but there is no mention of those areas affected. Also the mark on the reverse makes me think it was a striking issue. I would save it for now. If it were in better shape you might want to have it checked out. The images area great, so when you some better ones, you might submit it to the Wexler doubled die site to see what he thinks.

Used to be a cherry pickers doubled die, but was delisted since it was determined to be die abrasion doubling.

See bottom of the page

I'd still hold onto that coin, it's an interesting example of this kind of "worthless" doubling.

Thanks for posting that Tanman2001. I would still save the coin with that information as it maybe of interest to another author of a book. That is from Wexler's site, so you don't need to email him, it is already there.
