mail187man Valued Member United States 265 Posts	Posted 02/12/2018 5:41 pm So I bought two 8 Reale cap & Ray coins from APMEX. One of them is AU without a doubt. The other, I can't tell if it was struck that way, or strangely worn on one edge. It also looks cleaned, but I could be wrong. What are your opinions? Report this Post to the Staff

Usually APMEX will put in the title whether you are buying cleaned or not. Cleaned was not mentioned at all on these, just 8 Reale Cap & Rays AU. I'm not trying to diss APMEX or anything, I like the company and am pretty sure they make it right with their customers. I was disappointed on getting a cleaned a coin. This is one of the reasons I prefer buying in person as apposed to online. Report this Post to the Staff

APMEX will sometimes show a photo of a random coin instead of the exact one you will get. I have purchased coins on APMEX that they claim are AU or MS, but instead are polished or cleaned. I'm not trying to say APMEX is bad, just saying that I prefer ebay. Report this Post to the Staff
