Hello everyone I need a little bit of help from you guys if you can I'm not new to the coin game but I am new to devoting most of my time and effort towards them I have a lot of questions that I don't know the answers to and was hoping that I would be able to find the answers that I've been looking for or asking myself so I guess instead of being shy about it I'll get right to it if you don't mind I recently purchased some unsearched Bank rolls of wheat pennies and came across a 194? actually I don't know that the whole year because it has severe damage to it from the mint and there's metal folded over and crushed on top of the next number would anybody be able to tell me how I would be able to find the actual date for this coin?
Rest in Peace

To CCF , so you say you bought unsearched bank rolls of wheat cents ? Can I ask where you bought them from ?
If you can , send us some photos of the coin in question and some other ones from those rolls .

I didn't think it is because the metal under the 4 is grooved out and the 4 still had been stamped.i could be mistaken
