Are keeping silver coins (Canada Maple Leafs) in their original RCM vinyl packaging a better idea than Air-Tite type capsules? The vinyl packaging is sealed, but will the vinyl eventually react with the coin? One of them has a tear in the vinyl so I guess I gotta do something with that fairly soon. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

No I do not think if you keep them in the vinyl it would react with the coin. I'm not certain since my panda's come in an airtight and then vinyled. But to my knowledge I wouldn.t think so thiese coins are ment for bullion so the mints should think of long term investments
