I was just wondering what a good price (fair) would be for a complete set of ASE proofs from 1986-present would be? I found a guy that was selling for 1200, the entire set in their velvet boxes with the COA and all. I talked to him and he told me that the only ones he was missing was the 2006. I then asked about the 1995 and 1996 ones and he said they were there. Wouldnt the price of the set sky rocket if the 1995 W was there? I mean on ebay, it goes for 4-5 THOUSAND!
There must be something that I'm missing here if someone is willing to pretty much give it away for such a small price. Am I right?!?!
Thanks

Two proofs were minted in 1995. The normal proof was minted in Philadelphia but another was included in the 10th Anniversary Eagle set of the four gold coins. That one was the 1995W but it is generally not considered necessary for a complete set.

that is correct, if he says they are in the velvet box and says he has a 1995 I almost guarantee its the P minted coin because as was said the only way to get the 1995-W was with the gold coins and they didn't sell very good which is why the price is so high on those one coins, they are higher that the whole set sold for in 1995 and have been for some time

It the missing 2006 coin the reverse proof, the regular proof or both? Unless the reverse proof is included, this is probably a tad on the high side. You should be able to get the set for about a $100 less without the 95-W and reverse proof.
