Thanks. The registry set game is fun, but not why I collect Vicky varieties. Having said that, according to PCGS, there are a full six points of room above my set, so I am under no allusions it can't be beat. The problem, I think, will be rounding up the needed higher coins. Many are spread out in established, long term collections. Many will cost thousands of dollars for an increase of a fraction of a point in the registry set game. PCGS is laughing all the way to their bank. :)

Indeed!! Pretty expensive bullet to bite if you want to upgrade that 1859 brass...

This is where we differ in the PCGS Registry Set game... it costs me merely a dollar (face value), plus the cost of PCGS grading and shipping, to select that one nickel dollar out of a thousand, which might give me a grade increase... I have been at that set for 10 years, so hopefully in 30 more years, it will be worth something as the RCM's alloy recovery program slowly gathers them up. The fun part is definitely the thrill of the hunt...

That's exactly why I hate that my deposit bank saves all the nickel dollars I go through for customers I'd much rather see them melted. I guess the upside is that at least it generates some interest somewhere. I just don't want to see them again.

Nothing against moderns, but always gravitated towards Vicky's because, to me, the sense of history associated with them was pretty neat.

Just realized my comment didn't address the original post, which is deserving of comment being such a fantastic set. Congrats.
