Bought this for my NGC grade set, but I'm of several minds on this one. Had a heck of a time lighting it because it is sitting deep in the holder - need to set up an indirect rig to throw light on the coin not the white plastic insert.

Grade the grader. I hate going first! The color dosen't look right to me. Cleaned? Only partial wear on star ridges. I'm at VF-20 details.

Pretty much nailed my issues...

Wear on the obverse shield is a bit uneven. More shield detail than the large star would have me expecting, esp. around K10.

It's a slightly weak strike (notice the orbs on the reverse aren't that well filled out). But I think the graders saw it as a weak strike and gave it a pass. Too much of a pass... for a grade set it should be representative.

NGC has it as VF20 not details, but I think I want a more representative coin for the grade set.
