Came across this 1952 proof quarter. I noticed it has something in between the claws. Any ideas if this is something significant?

Raised? If so probably a small die crack! Pictures are hard to tell.

Let's try to take a clear and focused image of the coin, it will really help,right now you cant tell what it is!

Thank you for the responses and for the welcome! I agree with the poor quality of the pic but the image was distorted when I uploaded it. If it is a die crack, is that of any value?

once again that finding is not conclusive, it is primarily just a guess. a better picture is needed to determine what it is. Quite frankly from this pic. it looks like a lint or a fiber to me.

Odd shape and location for a die crack.

If raised, it might be a die scratch.
If incuse, it might be struck through a string.
