Hey guys it's been a while since I've been on but I've been researching a bit. Here's a dime I'd like some input on...types of errors and collectability.... I'm quite certain these are mint errors!!

Sorry about the lack of info. Here's the gist....there's rim doubling, mm doubling, and it looks struck through or something on his forehead. Makes it look like he's got a massive piece of extra design off the front of his forehead. Deep impression under the ear. Reverse is doubled with lots of raised (clash?) Designs....I'm still not completely sure of the terminology but have a look. Thanks guys.

@TMH, thanks for adding that additional information. Clearer, in-focus pics would help, but right now all I see are those bulges. In the past, we have attributed those things to overheating of the coin (i.e. PMD).

Thanks @ Spence...that's been my biggest obstacle here on coin community. My cameras are just not equipped to show the details like I need. The doubling is VERY apparent on the mint mark and liberty. Doubling is to the NE on the obverse. The eye and eye lids also show heavy doubling. On the reverse its heavy in the ONE DIME and on the leaves and torch. It's not so much that I'm questioning the doubling. I'm fairly certain it's doubled. It's just that the bubbling did make me wary of a tampered coin. Also, it has a ever so slight Cud on the rim juuust to the direct east of the back of Roosevelt's head. Idk if that helps?

Ok well, this is a pretty easy fix then. You can buy the cheapest usb camera on Amazon for about $25 and it will yield amazing good pics. The photography section of CCF has dealt with this question a bunch of times.

Specifically for your coin, I don't see how the application of heat could cause doubling of the features.

Getting a inexpensive used camera would be a smart move.

Welcome back to the CCF!

I have seen a lot of these coins when they are black usually a sign of being in the fire.
