The members of this forum are more than happy to help you identify your coins, medals, etc. and help you determine a value. This is much easier to do when a picture is provided and a good, clear description. When you start a topic, put the date, denomination, and country if possible of the coin you would like identified. We just want to have as much info as possible in order to help you.

I have a question. I have not gotten a pic of the penny yet, but my son found a cent piece in a roll that has Treasury on one side with US uncirculated and a (D)Denver mint stamp on it , and on the other side has a shield with a justice scales and a key. I have been unable to find a shield penny design like this with the US Treasury stamped on it. There is no date Any Ideas until I get a good pic for you?

Hi Peggy, Welcome. Is the token metal, or plastic? The mint puts discs in uncirculated coin sets and the like, which Identify the set. I'm not aware of them being metal however. Don

It is Copper, and the information I got on it today is that it is a medal that was issued with a Uncirculated Denver Mint set. It is the same size as a Penny and fit nicely in the Penny Roll.

Hi aflsujt and welcome to our forum. I had to reduce the size of your pics so that it didn't widen the thread. I'm not well-versed in errors, but I'm sure someone will come around who can help you with this coin.

Thanks! I didnt even notice that they were that large. I have a high-end scanner that doesn't even know the meaning of little detail. :)

I have a coin which is apparently an 1833 quarter anna, it has a pair of lions on either side of a shield with 1833 written under it on one side an on the other it has the 'scales of justice,' it says quarter anna and has what appears to be arabic writing on the bottom. It is the same size as a 2p piece but slightly thinner. Has anyone any idea if it is worth anything

Hello and welcome to the forum. Your coin is a quarter anna from the Bombay presidency in British India. There are a few varieties of this coin which affect it's value. Also, the condition matters a great deal. Your coin could be worth anywhere from $.75 to $150.00.
Please repost your question in the World Coin Forum. It would be very helpful if you posted a picture so that we can determine which variety your coin is, also.

Today has been a delightful one for me in that I have found some neat coins in circulation, and also spent several hours digging far, far down in my old coin box located in the far back of a closet.
I found a coin I had completely forgotten about. In fact, I can't recall how I came by it.
It is the only seated liberty silver dollar in my collection. 1872, evidentally Philadelphia mint, and, using the old grading standard, probably AG - G. No major dings on it, and a part of "In God We Trust" can be seen.
This coin, as well as my entire collection, will be passed down to our kids, but, even though I don't want to sell any coins I own, I am interested in a value on this one. Probably not much, but I'm still interested.
Anybody venture an opinion?
