Purchased a set of the 2008 ASE for $129.00 on 5-7-08 it included the regular 08 ASE and the one with the tail on the u.I watch hsn last knight and they were selling the 2 for $1,499.00 I wonder what they will do in about 5 years form now ?

Yeah I saw that too, it was on HSN I think.

They always have super overpriced coins on there.

In 2 yr I watched the 2006 1st W mint unc go from $399.00 and high on HSN & our lovable Coin Vault to $89.00 and a free bee if U got the complete set
and now 2006-W $399.00 = about $310.00 price drop just from this 1 coin
2008-W with 07 rev in 2 yrs $99.00? or it my holed some ware.

YA the 2006 20th ann ASE reverse droped from 350 to 250 in 16 months from its release but you never know times change!

Well.....HSN, Coin Shop, etc. etc.....certainly are NOT a measuring guide for what things are worth now or in the future.......Those companies are ridiculously overpriced and only catching unsuspecting "new" coin collectors who don't, as of yet, know any better.
It IS funny to occasionally watch their programs and witness the salesman techniques to push their products........I hope that's all anybody here on CCF does !

I think these will hold for a while....an average NGC MS69 is now selling for in the high 400's to low 500's on ebay. I have two and I hope they keep gowing up up up up up

I watch hsn program to get knowledge and I'm verry selective about the knowledge that I take from them what is bs and what is not there verry misleading but its fun to watch almost like a comedy and a tragic one if you buy from them,im more interested in the details about a coin that I'm interested in the price that they put on a coin just gives me peace of mind thinking that my coins are worth that much kind of like dreaming thats wy I watch them!
